Here are a selection of the websites I have designed and built.
Darts501.com
Anyone that knows me will know I love the sport of darts! My first website I built was to do with darts and I have since revised this a few times. Here is the latest version of Darts501.com. It is an information site only for the sport of darts yet it covers a lot that other sites don't. Despite being online since 2004, it still attracts thousands of visitors every week. This latest update brings all the pages up to date and give the site a new fresh feel. The side links and advertises are muted so as not to distract from the main page content and yet come to life when the mouse pointer hovers oven them. The site is still a favourite of many darts fan and professional alike. Museum of Power
This project was slightly different than others. Who had herd of building a site for others to maintain. Well the Museum of Power based in Langford in Essex was in need of a new website, but one they could after construction could maintain themselves. Anyone with a basic understanding of website construction will tell you the importance of designing the the template correctly. It can be the most time consuming part of any site that is why lots of new to web construction opt for pre-designed templates however they nearly always look like they are designed for someone else. The Museum is run mainly by volunteers and the Museum committee were not in a position to employ a full time webmaster, however one member had a basic understanding of HTML code but didn't have the skill to build a credible website they needed. Therefore I built a site that they could general maintain. A few extra technical bits still make the site function but with the basic knowledge they had updates should now not be an issue.
Trina 'GOLDEN GIRL' Gulliver
Trina is a remarkable person who wants women's darts recognised in the way it should be along side the men's game. Having a personal interest in this sport myself it was a pleasure for harlequin to design a new site fir Trina to fit her specific needs. The site contains booking facilities using online forms, photo gallery using Lightbox technology, video streaming, and audio embedment.

Trina & Sue's Wedding
This website was initially going to be guest password protected. But Trina and Sue agreed that many fans would also like to see them on their special day.
View this Wedding album while it is still on-line.
Sirocco - Audio book by Andrew Wood & Alasdair Morton
As a promotion Andrew has recently decided to allow visitors to download his audio book for free. In addition to the CD conversion made for this site, the written script was made into an electronic publication ePub so viewers that have an ebook reader, smart phone or iPad can enjoy the book in it's original written format. Both of these conversions were undertaken by Harlequin. For more information about ePub and Media see the Media page. Patrick Chaplin PhD - 'Dr Darts'
Patrick is a regular writer for 'We Love Darts' and 'Darts World' magazines. His latest site broadens the viewer's knowledge not only on the history of darts but also about the origins of pub games, signs and pub history. You can easily spend a couple of hours reading though this site and still not see everything. It was created for Patrick by Harlequin Web Design. This site also contains on-line newsletters, automatic scroll information updates and an internal search engine for quick easy access. This is by far the biggest site of it's type on the web. Work also supplied to this client includes photo enhancement, healing and graphic work for inclusion in hard back and paper backed books. The Official Website for the Bullseye TV Game
Show.
The game show has a loyal fan base and since the sites' launch in 2009 over a thousand new hopefuls have applied to be considered as contestants should a new show be commissioned. This overwhelming support has meant that no further applicants can be accepted at present. But view the site and download a Free Bullseye PC wallpaper to spice up your PC and look out for the new Bullseye merchandise that will be launched later this year.

A Beautiful Body

St Peter's School
This site is currently off line due to change of head and updates.
High Street Shop
All websites produced by Harlequin Web Design can not be shown here but hopefully these examples give a flavour of the diverse sites we have built. Of course, new ones are being added all the time.

"Thanks to David King for a great new looking website"

This can make a
very special wedding present for someone you know. The site
also was supplied on DVD so the client could view everything except the
guestbook off line.

Small
businesses can thrive with a web presence. What you can say on a flyer you
can say on a web site. A single advert in a local newspaper could
cost you hundreds and that will have a limited circulation. A website is
there 24 / 7 and will demonstrate what you are about. If you are in
business you need a presence on the web.
This
is a primary
school based in Buckinghamshire. The site includes school stats, aims, calendar and map
information; in fact all that you would expect to see.
Small
shops also benefit from a web presence. A website here can give useful
information as well as supply goods direct to customers that can not
visit your establishment. Opening times, directions, maps, contact details,
goods and services that you can supply can all be featured on a website.
so don't think having a shop is
all you need. To reach a wider audience businesses of all sizes need a web site.
